Michael Kupietzky

The Carriage House Mezuzah

The artist, in this unique mezuzah, shows the influence of the distinct architecture of the carriage house, also called Remise or coach house. It was an outbuilding that was originally built to house horse-drawn carriages. The triangular roof and base are made of brass with a patina finish. A matching window with the Hebrew letters “shin, daled, yud” face the carved Jerusalem stone body. Each work is signed by the artist.
