Binyamin Basteker Vendor Information

Binyamin Basteker

Binyamin Basteker is a celebrated Israeli artist whose abstract paintings reflect a deep spiritual connection to Jewish heritage, tradition, and the land of Israel. Born in Mumbai in 1953, Basteker immigrated to Israel in 1969, where he began formally studying art at Kalisher College of Art in Tel Aviv. There, he was mentored by some of Israel’s most influential artists, including Yechiel Shemi and Avigdor Steimatzky. Over the years, he developed a distinct style that blends bold abstraction with layers of emotion and spiritual resonance.

Basteker’s works often explore themes of holiness, memory, and the human relationship with sacred spaces—most notably the Western Wall and other sites of Jewish significance. Through his dynamic use of color, texture, and form, he invites viewers into an intimate dialogue with the Divine. His artistic journey includes numerous solo exhibitions across Israel, and his paintings are held in esteemed public and private collections, including the Helena Rubinstein Pavilion at the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.

After a period of personal growth and religious study, Basteker returned to the art world with a renewed sense of purpose—merging his faith and creativity in a profound way. Today, his work stands at the intersection of fine art and spiritual expression, making it especially meaningful to collectors who appreciate the depth and soul behind every brushstroke.

At JLuxury, we are honored to showcase select works by Binyamin Basteker—each piece a timeless testament to Jewish identity, resilience, and beauty.
